Cross Culture Church began in a Granada Hills living room in 2014 — twelve people, a borrowed guitar, and the conviction that the gospel was big enough to hold every culture in the Valley.
Today we're a Foursquare congregation of more than nine hundred — Black, Brown, white, Filipino, Korean, Armenian, Persian, Salvadoran; third-generation Angelenos and brand-new arrivals; doubters and lifers, grandparents and infants. We're not a church for a culture. We're a church where cultures meet at a cross.

Cross Culture Church started as a Southern California District Foursquare church plant in the year 2001 by Pastor Eugene Montilla and his wife Dr. Nelly Montilla.

The church has a growing number of families growing in faith together because of its vibrant and life changing  programs for each age group. They both have a heart for missions supporting church plants internationally and maintain a Cross Culture daughter church in the Philippines.

The old,
good news.

The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God — fully and completely. It stands as the ultimate authority for all matters of faith, doctrine, and truth. (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
The Eternal Godhead
We believe in one God eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God — co-equal, co-eternal, and of the same divine nature. (2 Corinthians 13)
Salvation Through Grace
We are saved by grace alone — a gift we could never earn or deserve — through faith in Jesus Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection. We bring no righteousness of our own; we come to God clothed entirely in the righteousness of Christ. (Ephesians 2:8)
The New Birth
We believe that conversion is a genuine and transformative work. When someone comes to Christ, the change in their heart and life is real, lasting, and miraculous. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the second person of the Trinity. In His time on earth, He was fully God and fully man — not one at the expense of the other, but both in perfect fullness. (John 1:1, 14)
Repentance
Repentance is the sincere commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ wholeheartedly. (Acts 2:38)
Life Change
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the second person of the Trinity. In His time on earth, He was fully God and fully man — not one at the expense of the other, but both in perfect fullness. (John 1:1, 14)
Water Baptism
After trusting and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new believer is called by God's Word to be baptized in water in the name of the Lord — a public declaration of an inward transformation. (Matthew 28:19)
The Lord's Supper
Sanctification is an ongoing journey of yielding ourselves to God, allowing Him to complete the development of Christ's character within us — day by day, step by step. (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
The Second Coming
We believe in the physical, visible return of Jesus Christ to earth to establish His kingdom. The exact time remains known only to God, but the promise is certain. (Revelation 1:7)
Healing of the Sick
Divine healing was central to the life and ministry of Jesus and was extended to His disciples as part of their commission. It remains a sign that follows believers today and is part of what Christ accomplished through His atoning work on the cross. (Matthew 8:16–17)
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
with the evidence of speaking in tongues The baptism of the Holy Spirit — given at Pentecost — was the fulfillment of the Father's promise and was sent by Jesus following His ascension. It empowers the Church to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth, builds up the believer in prayer and spiritual life, and serves as a sign to unbelievers. (Joel 2:28–29; Acts 2:38–39)
Christ Indwells All Believers
A Christian is someone who has invited the Lord Jesus Christ to dwell within them. They place their full trust in what Christ accomplished through His death, burial, and resurrection — and He takes up residence in their heart. (John 14:17, 23)

Our core values shape who we are and guide everything we do. They are the driving virtues behind our mission — the heartbeat of how we live, serve, and love as a church family.

Integrity
We believe in living transparently before God — spending time in His Word daily and letting it shape how we live before others. Christ-like integrity means growing in wisdom and stature in the sight of God and man (Luke 2:51–52), and living a crucified life where Christ lives in us (Galatians 2:20). We believe Christ-like character is the most attractive and lasting witness we have, essential both to our own lives and to winning others to Christ.
Creativity
We believe the gospel can be expressed artistically and beautifully — without ever diminishing its message.
Servanthood
We believe every member is a minister. Each of us has been given gifts to be discovered, developed, and deployed — because every believer is created for ministry, gifted for ministry, authorized for ministry, and needed for ministry. We are a gift-based, volunteer-driven church, committed to identifying and raising up emerging leaders who are fully devoted to Christ and ready to reach their generation with the Gospel. (Mark 10:45; Ephesians 2:10; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12:14–20)
Accountability
In keeping with the Great Commandment, we commit to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth with honest accountability (Psalm 78:72). We believe genuine love and caring relationships are the key to every endeavor. Rather than giving room to a spirit of complaining, we choose to face every challenge with courage — solving problems in ways that honor God and build biblical character — and we protect the unity of the Spirit in our church. (James 1:2–3; 1 Peter 3:8–9; 1 Corinthians 13:8; Romans 16:17; Ephesians 4:3)
Fruitfulness
We believe every person — Christian or not — is eternally valuable to God, and therefore valuable to us. Responsible evangelism will always be our cause, and ongoing discipleship will always be the core of our ministry (Matthew 25:45). We believe the most effective evangelism happens through people inviting people: a life reaching a life. As each believer builds genuine relationships with friends and family and simply extends an invitation, evangelism becomes a normal, natural way of life — winning others to Christ, one by one. (John 1:43–45; John 4:28–30)
Excellence
God is worthy of our very best. That's why a growing spirit of excellence should permeate everything we do — not perfection, but excellence marked by consistent evaluation and a willingness to keep improving for the sake of God's Kingdom. We believe a simple presentation of Jesus Christ, expressed in creative ways, has the power to transform lives. Relating to our culture through redeeming the arts — while remaining true to Scripture — is a balance we will always keep, so the Gospel reaches the heart. (1 Corinthians 9:22–23; Acts 17:22–34)
Time Stewardship
God is overwhelmingly generous to His people, and He calls us to manage His gifts well — the greatest of which are life and salvation. Because life is worth more than any material thing, we invest it well: in holy living, in learning, and in laboring for Him. Practically, this means honoring one another's time — preparing carefully, and starting and ending on time in every ministry and endeavor. (Psalm 39:4)
